The wooden deck on this outdoor sporting facility was replaced to create a more relaxing environment centered around an outdoor fireplace. The multi-tiered deck features approximately 3,450 square feet of pavers and 2,000 square feet of retaining wall.

Jackson Madison County General Hospital

This project features two types of granite and a walkway with low radius walls and taller decorative flagstone walls. The walls were installed to allow safe access for its users whiling maintaining an appealing appearance at the hospital.

Ave Maria University Town Center

Preliminary plans called for much of the new University campus to be paved with cast in place concrete sidewalks, but with escalating concrete ready mix prices and cement shortages, the project team realized that much of the pavement could be built with concrete pavers. The Ave Maria University & Town Center features nearly 450,000 square feet of concrete unit pavers and 700 lineal feet of tiered segmental retaining walls.

Manassas Assembly of God Church The King’s Masons, Inc.
Manassas Park, Virginia

The Manassas Assembly of God Church project’s objective was to draw people from the large concrete church lobby to a more intimate outside meeting space. The circle patterns of pavers throughout the large space invites in the parishioners and makes a large space become more intimate.

Decatur MARTA Plaza Improvement Project

The design project team chose architectural precast pavers because it created a spectacular pavement design that highlighted Decatur’s rich culture and history.  Select pavers were also cast with coin-sized recesses that replicate MARTA tokens.

Byrne and Marine Commercial Centre

Surrey, British Columbia

The Byrne and Marine Commercial Centre project featured more than 375,000 square feet of permeable pavement.  The pavement was installed mechanically due to the busy construction site and speed of installation. Three-quarters of the way through the completion of the project, the area received the heaviest one-day rainfall in 5 years. The permeable pavement stood up to the test.

The project’s challenge was to design a space that would utilize the site to its maximum potential and meet all township zoning codes. The design of the plazas using the clay pavers met the challenges as well as complimented the other softscapes at the hospital and medical center.

This project made extensive use of brick and cast stone masonry with tumbled brick pavers and architectural concrete paving. Approximately 45,000 square feet of tumbled brick pavers connected the various pedestrian areas in the outdoor shopping complex.

This 87,000 square foot plaza included clay brick pavers in four colors and parallelogram-shaped precast concrete pavers. The intricate layout of the brick pavers added interest and character to the overall paving scheme.

This project involved working around existing structures, curbing, building slabs and trees. Each tree well and wall was specifically designed for the area and had to match the existing contours, landscaping and curbing.

The goal of this project was to stop erosion of the slope and to make the area safe for shoppers. A five tier wall was constructed with each tier averaging about 10 feet. Approximately 30,000 square feet of retaining wall blocks with 30,000 tons of backfill were used to complete the project.
