Mechanical Specifications

Trim Size: 5.5" x 8.5"
All type and other essential material should be held at least 1/4" from trim edges.

Full page Ad w/ Bleed: 5.75" x 8.75"
Live Area: 5" x 8"

Half page Horizontal with Bleed: 5.75" x 4.375"
Live Area: 5" x 4"

Digital Media
Proofs must accompany all ads. Printer cannot be held responsible for the printed quality or content of any ad material that does not meet the criteria established below or for color ad material that is not accompanied by a hard copy, high resolution color proof.

All ads are 4-color. Please provide artwork in CMYK. All spot colors must be converted to CMYK match. 

Software (PC or Mac): Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.  Linked image files must be included. Fonts should be converted to outlines or rasterized. InDesign files should include all fonts (Mac only). Postscript and Open Type fonts preferred. True Type and Multiple Master fonts discouraged. All layers should be flattened. Ads submitted as PDF files (Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and below) must be created for offset printing.

Images/Artwork: TIFF, EPS and press-optimized high resolution (300 dpi) PDF. Include postscript and screen fonts and imported graphics.

Media: CD-ROM and DVD. Please label with advertiser name and complete contact information. Digital Files can be uploaded to:
ftp://ftp.bostrom.com/.  Place add in the folder labeled 09HNAADS and save ad with name of company and dateFiles of 2 MB or less may be submitted electronically to djarvis-miller@bostrom.com accompanied by a PDF.  A hard copy, high resolution color proof must be mailed for any uploaded files.  Please call for instructions and to verify your upload.
